At Nodek, the safety of our client is very important to us. As a result, we ensure that all of the young people we support always have access to a member of staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Most of our accommodation is located in the London area. However, we have a few properties in the Essex County.  Upon request, our staff can get to any of our properties very quickly to offer assistance as needed. Aside from this, we provide 24-hour telephone support.

Support to Achieve

At Nodek Services, we encourage the young people we support to grow whilst with us. Be it through Education, Training or Employment. Because we are subject area specialist, we encourage our young people to gain knowledge and experience so that they are equipped with the skills necessary to lead independent lives with as many opportunities open to them when their placement ends.

Comfortable and Safe accommodation to live

At Nodek we provide a high quality, safe and secure accommodation for people to thrive, and truly feel at home. As for our staff, they are available to cater for the emotional and support needs of the young people we support. Each property is well presented, equipped and personalised to meet the needs of each of the young person that we accommodate and support.

In recent years there have been suggestions that the penal system is in a state of crisis.

There is a lot of evidence that prison fails to rehabilitate and prevent reoffending. Yet many young men and women continue to be imprisoned.

At Nodek, because we recognise the shortfall in the penal system as young ones are often released from custodial sentences without adequate crime prevention grounding and support for community integration in order to avoid recidivism or reoffending. Therefore, we imperatively offer services as added help for consolidation.

Our inhouse team of criminologists and experts who understand the navigation and language of these youngsters engage them in their very own language with our services that include:

  1. One-on-one psychosocial intervention (where we try to understand their issues and way forward).
  2. Assessment of needs- Understanding of educational levels and skills etc.

We have other empowerment programs that include, sundry sports- football, tennis etc. Additionally, we offer basic learning, low-level professional skills, including other outdoor recreational activities like picnics etc.

Our Referral Criteria:

Referrals are accepted for young people presenting with a range of multiple complex needs and challenging behaviours. At our pre-entry assessment, although, is swift, will provide us with the required information to ascertain the ability of our organisation to meet the needs of the individual young person.

At Nodek. we take great care over the admission of all young people into our care to ensure that the specific needs of each young person can be met with a view to ensuring a very smooth transition period. Therefore, our pre-entry assessment is vital to ensure that the needs of the referred young person can be met without impacting negatively on the other young people that we are already accommodating.

So, the initial referral process and subsequent assessment period requires specific information to allow the full gathering of a young person’s care file.

Dependent upon the referral status, a transition plan will be arranged or alternatively in the case of an emergency, assistance will be offered in transportation of the young person to our unit.

At Nodek, as already outlined above, we ensure the safety of all young people placed with us by adopting a robust assessment process.  Part of the assessment will involve a risk assessment, this is to ensure that the admission will not affect the stability of our placement unit. Upon completion of the required assessments, once we are satisfied that we can safely admit a young person in these circumstances, we will definitely offer a placement to the young person.
